The Glen-Yr-Afon is a privately owned Victorian Villa situated in the lovely rural county of Monmouthshire in South Wales. The original house was built in 1868 and overlooks the banks of the River Usk. The Glen-yr-Afon House Hotel in Usk has been specialising in weddings for over 32 years. In that time, we have built up a reputation that we believe is un-paralleled in this area.

Glen Yr Avon has a wonderful calm atmospheric surroundings on the edge of Usk town centre. This beautiful Victorian building is excellent for any reception, not just a wedding. The layout of the room is ideal for your guests to mingle and have a chat to the sides of the dancefloor, or for the party people to have a dance. The sound relay allows people to talk without shouting or to relax and listed to good music, whereas the dancefloor has an exciting atmosphere.

Glen Yr Avon was one of our first favourate venues, and we love playing there. We would always recommend Glen Yr Avon to anyone who wants a wedding reception where they are not inviting too many guests. Although the ballroom will hold upto 120 people this venue is idealy created for small functions.
